This book tells the in-depth story of Casey White and Vicki White that kept the country on the edge of their seats. A story like this can only be told by someone deeply connected to the situation. Former Sheriff Rick Singleton reveals insights that only he can tell because he dealt with the chaos of their flight from justice. Unreal. This is a a highly recommended book full of interesting details that is sure to keep the reader engaged. I ordered two copies. Great insight to the situation.

Nothing that wasn’t already known by anyone who followed the case. Numerous date errors within the book. And it’s basically a picture book. Read an article from a news site and boom you’ve read the book.

This was a great book about Vicki and Casey White. Not too long. Nice photos. True story.

Of course, living very close to Lauderdale County, Alabama, where this escape happened, I followed the search for Casey White and Vicky White (no relation) on our local news during the days leading up to their being found. I heard that Sheriff Singleton had written a book, and wondered if it would present anything about the case that hadn't already been covered, but it did. Furthermore, the way in which the investigation is laid out, and the photos in the book made it even easier to follow.
I read it in one sitting. I don't have an opinion about Vicky White, but the book surely gave me food for thought.

This book was very informative in regards to everything leading up to, during and after the escape of the White’s. It was to the point and didn’t include unnecessary drama. Good read.

Thankful for Rick Singleton, thankful for everyone who chooses to keep the rest of us safe, at the risk of not just their safety, but of their mental health. And thankful in our town for the leadership of good men and women. So sad, as so many of our law officers had to deal with this tragedy. Sad for Vicky, as she made a horrible mistake, in the name of love. Very well written, and preserves the timeline and integrity of our towns determination to preserve justice. Thank you sir for your time and attention to preserve this for the future. You are appreciated.

I read this in an afternoon. As a lifelong resident in the area I know a few people that dedicate their lives in service of protecting we citizens.
I believe Mr. Singleton is one of those people. It’s informative and in my opinion, well written. While working myself I met many officers in our sheriff’s department. All are professional and bless them, tired. Not that they ever complained. Thanks to every single one of them! Thank you Mr. Singleton for sharing your experience.

Chris bInformative and answers a lot of questions.

I have followed this story from day one. I keep asking why would a grown, educated, independent and strong woman do such a thing and lose everything including her life. This book answers that question. Such a tragedy for her and the family and friends she left to deal with this. I hope her few days on the run were worth all of the heartache and left behind. Great job telling her story. I highly recommend you read this story.

Sheriff Singleton has done a great job of putting the facts of the Casey White and Vicky White escape to paper.
